"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill
I just like the above quote because it speaks volumes. In today's world of victim-hood, "poor me" syndrome, "you don't know how tough it is to be me", life is tough, economy is blah, yadda yadda yadda.....Churchill's words are brilliant. In other words, if you're in a bad place, don't stay there. If things aren't working doing what you're doing, then change what you're doing. Simple, isn't it?
Well, yes it is and no it isn't.
Conceptually, academically or as people like to say in today's vernacular, technically, it is very simple to grasp. Making the change?! Not so simple. Here's a novel idea for you...
As I began emptying my cup at the beginning of the 2015 version of the Master Key Mastermind Alliance I stopped all other input in relation to personal development and began reading (for the umpteenth time) the Master Key System by Charles Haanel. In this approximately 100 year old book, Haanel points out that our subconscious mind is the autopilot that pretty much directs everything we do. It does not initiate plans, but it works the plans it has accepted to a proverbial "T".
That explains when someone academically understands that they should change their behavior, but they continue with destructive behavior. When that certain girlfriend always picks the wrong men in her life. When the star, clutch athlete always comes through when the pressure is on...when the people in the crowd shout out, "He's unconscious!" They're not wrong.
So, if you have a personal hell that you may be going through, and your desire is to heed Churchill's advice, then here is something to pay attention to. Everyone, and I do mean everyone , is a slave to their subconscious mind, the author of this post included.
Imagine this, I was actually comfortable in the chaos, get it? I did not keep going through my personal hell, yet I believed that I was taking the steps and things just weren't getting better. Wake up call, I stepped back and reviewed my results...they sucked. Yet I knew I could better, but why wasn't I? Conditioning, simple conditioning.
I had allowed other sources to program my subconscious, and not me, not my dreams, not my desires and values. In the past 5 weeks, I got out of my own way and now positive change is prevalent in my life on a daily basis. And, here's the kicker ladies and gentlemen...I KNOW all this backwards and forwards, academically. I still needed help, thanks again to Mark J and my guides Don & Leanne.
No matter what you think is going on in your life, no matter how tough it is on you or if you're going through hell...keep going! There is help, there are people who care enough to reach out to you, but you have to be ready to reach back, and together you will get through anything.
Put everything you have into everything you do, because the best is yet to come!
